Paul Fisher, studying photography at Newcastle College, was kind enough to explain how he’d managed to produce this stunning photograph. As a complete novice all I could gather was that it was a reverse photocopy of a black and white photograph that he’d toned with two different colours - the standard blue and sepia. Apparently the photocopier plays a major role in Paul’s work and, judging from the result, is it any wonder? Although he describes his work as pretty “standard stuff”, as we clutched our Konica Instamatics (bought especially for those obligatory holiday snaps) we were more than impressed. And he’s only a first year!
